Waking the Mountain

This was directly inspired by a song. I don't do that very often >_____>

I recently got into this post punk/metal shoegazing band called Les Discrets. I was listening to their song called Song for Mountains... [link]
Yeah. And looking at the album's cover art made me want to do this in gray-scale, so... Yeah 'X)
Just my papermate pen, black colored pencil, and an ebony pencil. I used a lightly dampened cotton ball to smear the sky, my hands for the rest. I knew that if I wasn't careful I'd tear holes through the paper... Then I kept rubbing anyway to take layers out of the paper to make the clouds... They turned out kinda cool X)
I'm sure this picture (the sky and clouds more specifically) would've turned out better had I taken my time. But, I did this in just a couple of sittings, so only a matter of hours. And with little planning. I just kinda went with it 'XD But, I am really happy with the "face of the mountain".
So... I guess it's a warrior or something calling upon the mountain. Perhaps for wisdom? Perhaps for power?
